LET ME TELL YOU A STORY...

I WASN´T ALWAYS A GOOD STORYTELLER.

Actually, as a child, I was very shy and timid. It all got worse when my family moved to the US.

The first few months were especially hard because I couldn´t understand the language. When I went to school I would just sit at my desk, look at the floor and think: "Please don´t call on me".

Until one day, my teacher walked up to me and said: "Cesar, I want you to share a story with the class".

My heart stopped! I stood up with shaky knees, walked to the front of my class, and told a simple little story.

Once I finished, I went back to my desk, put my head down, and thought: "Cesar, you did a horrible job!".

After a few seconds of self-loathing, I looked up, and to my surprise, all my classmates were giving me a thumbs up, as if saying: "Great job!".

WHY AM I TELLING YOU THIS?

First, because this experience literally changed the course of my life.

Second, because this was the first time that I truly felt the power of stories!

WE ALL NEED THE POWER OF STORIES!

Now as an adult, I´ve learned that stories help us communicate, connect, and engage in a much more memorable way (up to 20 times more memorable). This is key to achieving success in any personal or professional project!

For the last 10 years, I´ve had the privilege of teaching and training thousands of business leaders and professionals from some of the top companies in the world, such as: Santander, Itaú, Walmart, PepsiCo, MasterCard, Metlife & KIA.

I´m passionate about what I do, and I´m convinced that we can all become great leaders and communicators if we become great storytellers.
